architecture and art for public places
Luka Murovec is a Slovenian-born spatial practitioner based in Berlin, working at the intersection of architecture and art. His practice engages with the layered histories of sites, weaving together social, material, and environmental narratives through spatial interventions.
Grounded in experimental architectural strategies and sculptural forms, Murovec’s work challenges conventions of the built environment, fostering dialogue and critical reflection. His projects reimagine spaces through a lens of radical and future-oriented design thinking.
His work has been presented at major international exhibitions and institutions, including Documenta fifteen (2022), the Venice Architecture and Art Biennale (2021, 2022, 2024, 2025), Ars Electronica (2024), Centre Pompidou (2023), CTM Festival Berlin (2019-2023), Brooklyn Public Library (2020), and Storefront for Art and Architecture (2018). He has collaborated with public institutions such as the City of Gothenburg, Sweden (2023), developing site-specific interventions that engage with urban and social contexts.
