Luka Murovec — Architecture & Art

LUKA MUROVEC

       architecture & art

Luka Murovec is a Berlin-based spatial practitioner working between architecture, art and spatial culture.

He creates public objects, installations and built environments that sit between architecture, sculpture, stage and civic infrastructure. His works are often usable and uncanny, generous and disruptive, turning space into a medium for encounter, atmosphere and collective imagination.

His solo and collaborative work has been presented at Documenta fifteen (2022); the Venice Architecture and Art Biennale (2021, 2022, 2024, 2025); Ars Electronica (2024); Centre Pompidou, Paris (2023); King’s Cross, London (2023); CTM Festival, Berlin (2019–2026); Brooklyn Public Library (2020); and Storefront for Art and Architecture, New York (2018), among others.

He studied architecture at the Institute of Contemporary Art, TU Graz, and TU Berlin. Since 2014, he has been a core collaborator with the experimental collective raumlaborberlin, contributing to projects including the Golden Lion-winning presentation at the 2021 Venice Architecture Biennale.

He is the co-founder and president of Epeka Berlin e.V., a cultural organisation for experimentation, education and cross-disciplinary production. Since 2025, he has taught at HDK-Valand Academy of Art and Design in Gothenburg, Sweden.
