Public spaces have always been where strangers come together, revealing both our shared connections and unique differences. City playgrounds, in particular, are spaces of possibility—where rules and freedom, the familiar and the unknown, safety and adventure coexist.
The transformation of the Gropius Bau parking lot into Radical Playgrounds was a celebration of encounter. Architects, artists, thinkers, neighbors, and visitors collaborated to create a vibrant space that fostered connection, joy, and resilience. The project reminded us of the power of hope and collective creativity in shaping our public lives.
